Shoots & Chutes

After signing with Bangers and Mash, there were a few ideas of how our partnership could move forward. One of them was a weekly video series about myself and my skiing, with some extra conversations and topics thrown in as well. I left all of the creativity up to Lindsay, the founder and owner of Bangers and Mash, when it came to the videos; she is the creative one after all! The video series will be released in the upcoming weeks, and I'm excited for all of you to get to know me a little better, and through a more relaxed environment.

While we were filming the series of videos our videographer and photographer, Chad Kirkland, wanted to take a few shots for the announcements and general use on social media. Chad is brilliant at what he does and it was a great experience working with him on everything. I haven't seen any of the videos yet, but the photos turned out quite well I'll let you see for yourself!

In other news, the snow has kept on coming! We had a few days of training last week, but once Friday came around it was just too deep up at Snowbird to get any productive gate training in. It wasn't the worst thing that could happen, as I enjoy freeskiing a couple feet of powder as much as anyone else! As I grew up skiing at Beaver Mountain, the Snowbird terrain can be quite intimidating, especially when you're trying to follow the kids that have been skiing there most of their life. It was exciting being pushed and tested by my teammates. You can't really refuse a challenging line when you're being belittled by everyone else who's already sent it!

The forecast over the next few days is variable, so hopefully the skies will clear in time for some training before the races this week in Colorado. The plan is to head to Steamboat Springs on Thursday, and race there all weekend. Speak soon!
